You can be the difference in A Kitten's life!
With your supervision, it may be time to leave the kitten out in the house with other cats. They can find a safe space to nap. They may also need a snack/meal during the day. They should be using the litter box like a pro.
The kitten will grow and become more confident. This is a good time to teach the word "no". Keep in mind these kittens are going to live in someone else's house. Do your best to teach them not to eat off your plate, run towards the outside doors, play or chew on cords, bite hands, etc.
The kitten should be close to 3 lbs. Now is the time to schedule the kitten to be spayed or neutered. At this time a blood test can determine if the kitten is FIV/FELV negative.
The kitten should receive its final round of vaccines to include the rabies vaccine.
The kitten is ready for adoption!!! Great job!!! Personally, for my husband and I, these are difficult times. We both know, to continue what we love, the kittens have to go. But its not without emotion, we both handle it differently. I cry every time I take a kitten to an adoption event and leave them, and that's ok. It means we did our job. We loved them and we made a difference in that baby's life.
